Description
We are looking for a talented Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team specializing in sales for our #NewPower Business Unit in Mississauga, Ontario.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
Designs the MV & LV power distribution architecture of PEM and alkaline water electrolyzer equipment
Ensures compliance to international standards across regions (NFPA, UL, IEEE, IEC)
Has a high degree of understanding of electrical distribution and power equipment such as cables, busbars, switchgear, variable frequency drives, etc.
Delivers high quality project and product documentation such as single line diagrams, component datasheets, grounding design and lightning protection concept, etc.
Is very familiar with employment of equipment for hazardous areas and different types of explosion protection methods.
Acts as a local guidance to more junior engineers, follows the work and ensures quality of the work.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role you will need:
Strong technical competency in all areas power distribution (concept architecture design, sizing of components, protection, harmonics, grounding, thermal management, lightning protection & EMC).
Knowledge of North American standards (NFPA), international electrical standards (IEEE), UL certification and so on).
Extremely proactive and curious, technically-savy, rigorous, team player.
Familiar with electrical CAD and electrical calculation software (EPLAN, AutoCAD Electrical)
General knowledge in power electronics and transformer-rectification systems is a plus.
Education:
5- 10 years of professional experience and a Degree focused on electronics
