We're hiring for Heavy Duty Cleaner - Compactor Maintenance/Waste Collection/Parking Garage

Job Location - 2045 Lakeshore Boulevard West, Etobicoke

Monday to Friday 7:00am - 3:00pm

We offer our Cleaning Specialists:

• Full-time hours 37.5 hours/week.
• Pay rate $17/hr.

We are seeking people who:

• Have experience with heavy duty cleaning.
• Are excellent communicators.
• Care about cleaning and enjoy making flawless first impressions.
• Ability to lift 15-35 lbs, walk, climb stairs, and stand for several hours.
• Confident using a smartphone and navigating the internet.
• Driver's License preferred.

Job Responsibilities Include:

• Operating motorized janitorial services equipment, including but not limited to automatic floors scrubbers, carpet extractors, floor polishers, burnishers, backpack style vacuums, pressure washers, grout cleaning machines (specific training to be provided).
• Dust mopping of hard floor surfaces using disposable dust mop kit.
• Mopping of hard floor surfaces using the double bucket and wringer method when applicable.
• Vacuuming of carpeted and hard floor surfaces (including baseboards).
• Collection and transportation of building waste to designated disposal area - maintaining waste stream protocols (sorting garbage, recycling, and organics).
• Pressure washing of tile surfaces.
• Maintenance of building compactor including checking bins, changing when required, rinsing clean with odour counteractant chemical. *

• Sweeping and cleaning of compactor room floor. *
• Cleaning of stairwells including dusting of railings/ledges, disinfecting railings, sweeping (or vacuuming) of stairs/landings, mopping of stairs/landings.

• Other heavy cleaning tasks as required by building specific cleaning service requirements.

* Responsibilities are building specific depending on cleaning service requirements and building design.
