The Customer Service Representative greets museum visitors, sells tickets using computerized ticketing system and processes upgrades and complimentary admissions. The position generates revenue for museum following admission guidelines and collects and accounts for revenue. The position produces computer printouts and various system reports and maintain front desk with sufficient supplies to operate effectively.
Generate ticket sales for facility using computerized ticketing system. .Serve as first point of contact for facility visitors and coordinate with other staff as needed.
The customers are the audience of the museum, who are local, national and international, of all ages, nationalities and genders.
High School Diploma or GED and six (6) months of work experience in office administration and/or customer service.
High School Diploma or Equivalent and three (3) months of work experience in office administration and/or customer service. Substitutions Apply. See Substitution Table below.

Employment is subject to a pre-employment background investigation and is conditional pending results. Must possess and maintain a current Defensive Driving Course Certificate from the State of New Mexico or must pass and receive Defensive Driving Course Certification as a condition of continued employment. Must possess and maintain a valid New Mexico Driver's License.
Executive Order 2021-066 requires all employees with the State of New Mexico to provide either proof of COVID-19 vaccination (including proof of a booster dose of vaccine by January 17, 2022, or within four weeks of becoming eligible for a booster dose) or proof of a COVID-19 viral test every week.

Office environment. Frequent long periods of sitting and working on a personnel computer. Occasional but essential bending or twisting at the trunk. Occasional but essential squatting, stooping, kneeling and reaching above the head. Continuous close exposure to VDT's, CRT's, or UV rays. Occasional but essential working in loud noise areas. Required to frequently meet deadlines with severe time constraints. Continuous interacting with the public required to include occasional irate customers. Frequent multiple demands from several people. Instate and occasional out-of-state travel required.
