Metro College of Technology is a private career college in Toronto, Ontario. Since 1998 it has successfully been providing career-focused training programs to the public. The programs at Metro College of Technology cover engineering, data science, information technology, accounting and payroll administration, and Enterprise Resource Planning. The college trains its students with state of the art knowledge and skills to meet today’s dynamic job market demand.

Currently we are looking for an Education Course Salesperson (student admission advisor) to join our student admission team.

As an admission officer, you will perform the following key duties:

  • Provide course/program information to individual prospective students who inquire about course information from Metro College of Technology
  • Interview and follow up prospective students
  • Provide prospective students with financial aid information
  • Register new students
  • Provide orientation to them
  • Assist students to apply for financial aid, including OSAP and Second Career
  • Participate in lead generation activities when required
  • Attend college’s related meetings

You need to meet the following requirements:

  • Bachelor degree in engineering, technology, sales, marketing, or related disciplines
  • At least 4 years of work experience in engineering, technology, consulting, customer service or retail sales
  • Good customer service experience
  • Good knowledge in one of the disciplines:
  • mechanical engineering, civil engineering, data science, computer networking, accounting, or enterprise resource planning
  • Excellent knowledge and skills in MS Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Proactive, dedicated, detail-oriented and result-driven
  • Able to communicate in English writing and English speaking clearly
  • Able to work independently and in a team environment
  • Able to prioritize tasks and complete tasks on time
  • Able to learn quickly and apply what has been learned effectively
  • Experience with OSAP, or Second Career funding policies and procedures is a great asset

Start Date: as soon as possible
Type of Employment: Full-time
Working place: in office, 789 Don Mills Road, Suite 500, Toronto, Ontario
Salary: $20-24/Hour + commission and bonus
