Required Qualifications

  • Office Administration Diploma
  • Minimum of one (1) year of directly related experience in a professional office environment.
  • Working knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to manage workload effectively in a high traffic environment with multiple deadlines and interruptions is critical.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.

An equivalent combination of education, experience, and knowledge acceptable by the College may also be considered.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a post-secondary or public sector setting will be considered an asset.

The School of Health and Human Services is currently seeking an Administrative Assistant (Term).

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing clerical/administrative support for Department members.
  • Preparing letters, memos, reports, proposals, workloads, booklists, timetables, exams, course outlines, evaluations, brochures, and other documents.
  • Providing exceptional customer service to students, staff, contractors, and visitors.
  • Working in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
  • Responding to inquiries in a timely, professional, and informed manner.
  • Maintaining a professional office environment.
  • Completing administrative duties such as filing, typing, copying, binding, and/or scanning.
