Reporting to the Vice President Operations, your initial focus in this role will be to generate new business partnerships by selling Highline Forming’s services. As this role progresses you will be involved in building out and developing Highline’s sales team. You will be responsible for overall company revue target achievement and contractual guidance to support business development operational objectives.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Provide strategic vision and direction on sales strategy, diversification and growth opportunities
  • Partner with the VP Operations to develop a clear and actionable 1-5 year business development plan with a focus on driving profitable growth
  • Identify and manage client cultivation, business development strategy and execution including creating a pipeline of clients, qualifying leads, business proposals, presentations, deal underwriting and other client facing materials
  • Develop and continuously improve a clear client value proposition to help our clients realize maximum value from our services
  • Oversee the establishment/management of a time sensitive proposal development process
  • Develop sales and support processes including proposal creation, controls, contractual instruments, KPI development and reporting
  • Establish client relationships with key decision-makers and influencers across various organizational levels. Lead interactions in a client-facing role in large, complex pursuits, renewals, and expansions
  • Identify new market opportunities, pre-contract risks and develop appropriate mitigation strategies
  • Lead negotiations with prospective customers and partners
  • Stay abreast of industry dynamics; evaluate industry and business trends and performance; respond with necessary business change

What You Bring

  • 10+ years experience in business development, account management, contract management and similar, experience within the construction industry is a must
  • Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, Commerce, Construction Management, Engineering or equivalent
  • Comprehensive knowledge of procurement processes and proposal processes
  • Exceptional negotiation and problem solving skills are required
  • Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office
  • Experience with CRM Software (Salesforce) is an asset
